This project involved cleaning & applying Wood Iron to a shake roof. Protecting a shake roof adds longevity to the shakes by slowing cracking & curling. It also sheds water much better & helps prevent the shakes from turning gray from UV rays. Although not fire proof, Wood Iron hardens the surface, thus help prevent embers from catching the roof on fire as quick.
